Ethan Carlson, Vice President of Finance, Hayes Management Consulting

Prior to joining Hayes, Ethan was a senior financial leader with GE Healthcare formerly IDX. His role at Hayes is to oversee the company's financial and operational activities. In addition to guiding the company from a tactical and financial perspective "My team focuses on ensuring that Hayes delivers optimal client service at all times. This includes developing streamlined and efficient business processes so that our consultants can be as productive as possible with clients."
 

Mark Somol, Chief Financial Officer, Mzinga

Mark Somol brings more than 17 years of financial and strategic leadership experience in technology and new media to his role as Mzinga's Chief Financial Officer. Mark has extensive experience in venture capital, financial planning, corporate development, business models, and growth strategies. 

Immediately prior to Mzinga, Mark spent 7 years with NeoCarta Ventures, a $300 million venture capital fund, where as Principal he worked closely with the CEOs of portfolio companies on business strategy, raising capital, M&A transactions, and operations.

Mark's additional experience includes:

  • Prior to NeoCarta, Mark co-founded Highgate Ventures, a $75 million venture capital fund that invests in information technology companies.
  • At GE Equity, Mark invested in software and technology infrastructure companies.
  • Mark began his career at Oracle, in business development and finance, where he helped grow the Oracle Financing Division from a $150 million U.S. operation to a $500 million global business.

Mark holds a bachelor's degree in quantitative economics from Stanford University and received an MBA with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Ed Marshall, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy, NetSuite OpenAir

With more than 20 years of experience in engineering project management and consulting, Ed has spent more than 10 years focused on building cloud based solutions for project based organizations. Ed has served in a variety of functions at NetSuite OpenAir, including business development, product management and professional services. Ed has been involved with and continues to touch nearly every part of NetSuite OpenAir's business. In his current role as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy, Ed is responsible for driving the product strategy that takes NetSuite OpenAir into the next decade, with deep penetration into new markets and an improved user experience. Before joining NetSuite OpenAir, Ed worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. Prior to Bain, Ed was an engineer at General Electric with responsibilities in the area of Product Design, Manufacturing, and Marketing. Ed received a ScB from Brown, an MS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from The Wharton School of  Business.

 

Richard Wright, Principal, KPMG LLP

Mr. Wright is a Partner within KPMG’s IT Strategy and Performance practice.  He has over 20 years of Technology Infrastructure and Operations advisory experience spanning a wide range of industries including Life Sciences, Financial Services, High Tech and Government. He has managed a wide range of consulting engagements ranging from IT strategic planning, sourcing advisory and transformation management through design and implementation of leading IT Operating models. 

Mr. Wright is KPMG’s Global Lead Partner responsible for overseeing the firm’s global relationship with EMC along with joint  go to market programs and activities.  He is also a member of the KPMG’s Global Cloud Computing executive steering committee.  This committee is responsible for establishing the firm’s Cloud Computing messaging and delivery framework upon which the firm’s market facing cloud services are developed and integrated across service lines.
